Many important decisions within organizations today are made based on data. Reliable data is essential for this. Reliability is strongly linked to data quality. Many organizations struggle with low data quality, resulting in various problems and unnecessary costs.

In this training, you learn practical techniques to assess and improve data quality. In addition, you will learn how to identify and prioritize data quality issues. The focus of this training is strongly on the importance and usability of data for the business/end-user.

During the training:

• You get an introduction on the different facets of data quality.
• Different data quality dimensions and metrics from several frameworks (e.g. DAMA DMBOK) will be explained.
• You will be given an example of a data quality framework with which you can plan and execute a data quality trajectory from start to finish. This includes, among other things:
• How to identify, analyse and prioritize quality issues.
• How you can perform data profiling.
• How to set up a business case.
• How to measure, improve and monitor data quality.
• Learn what makes a good data quality dashboard.
• You will learn what business rules are and how you can use them to derive validation rules.
• The relationship between data quality and compliance/privacy will be covered.

Practice-oriented and small groups

The hands-on approach and the coverage of various cases ensure that what is learned can immediately be applied in practice. The templates provided offer additional support. Because of the small groups, there is plenty of opportunities to discuss your own use cases.
